Currently studying Medicine after having achieved an Integrated Master’s degree in Biomedical Science (First Class Honours) from the University of Sheffield.

I have been tutoring since 2015 as I find sharing my knowledge and supporting fellow students to develop a positive attitude to learning highly gratifying.

I am a diligent and dedicated individual who strives for perfection. I am very approachable, friendly, and patient. I believe this is essential when trying to make my tutees feel relaxed and comfortable enough to ask questions and clear any doubts they may have.

Tutoring Experience

I have been tutoring GCSE, AS-level and A-level Students in Biology, Chemistry and Maths for 6 years. Additionally, I also mentored AS and A-level students at Greenhead College, while I was a student there myself. At university, I conducted study sessions for first-year Biomedical science students, where I co-organised interactive activities to help students consolidate their learning, as well as provided encouragement and guidance on coping with the academic and social challenges of University.

Tutoring Approach

The initial lesson involves discussing and establishing my tutee’s strengths and weaknesses in a subject area. Following this, I tailor the lessons to address each of the topics that my tutee struggles with/considers their greatest weakness. This involves either starting from the basics or gradually building on their current level of understanding. Upon completion of the topic, I provide students with past paper questions (with varying levels of difficulty) to test their understanding and help them consolidate their learning. I also provide tips and guidance on providing succinct answers to maximise the marks.
