Tutoring Experience

I have taught in 2 different tuition centres, gaining a plethora of skills and thereafter have been working privately for the past 6 years to ensure all children get the maximum standard of tutoring as possible.

Tutoring Approach

In the first session, I aim to identify what topics need covering via assessment/topic checklist in order to devise an action plan.

Following this I will use a variety of problem based questions, differentiated tasks and exam style questions to help build confidence in each topic they are learning. Assessments are used at the end of topics to evaluate learning that has taken place and feedback is given every session.

Lessons begin with a quick starter to reinforce learning from previous sessions, then I will focus mainly on teaching new information and finally move onto a plenary where I will summarise the information taught.

I teach GCSE Chemistry, Biology and Maths across all the exam boards specific to each specification.

I also teach 11 plus and and proofread UCAS statement checks and provide Medicine Interview Practice.

I deliver the classes on a friendlier approach, which I find is more effective, making the student more motivated to learn. i aim to keep the sessions interactive to keep students engaged and my main focus is to build the student's confidence in the subject and also in themselves. In addition to that, each sessions are planned based on the student's individual needs/progress to ensure full understanding of the topic.
