Hi, I'm Ethan. In 2021, I graduated from the University of Oxford where I studied Philosophy, Politics and Economics. I completed A-levels in Politics, History and Economics, receiving AAA* grades.

Tutoring Experience

I have hundreds of hours of tutoring experience in economics, politics, and admissions tests. I have worked with students from a variety of backgrounds and ability levels. Throughout school and sixth-form I took part in many mentoring programmes both academic and otherwise. I would often lead unofficial revision sessions with my peers in the lead up to exam season.

Tutoring Approach

I like to take an exam-focussed approach to teaching. Learning the structure of the exam and how to pick up marks easily is just as important as knowing the actual content of the course. Many talented students miss out on top grades despite having an excellent grasp of the content. The reason for this is a lack of exam training. Ultimately, the whole point of school and sixth form is to leave with qualifications by passing exams, so it only makes sense that these should be the primary focus.
