Hello, I'm Emma, a friendly and dedicated tutor with a degree in English Literature from Durham University. I have five years of experience teaching students from KS1 to A-Level. I grew up in London and achieved 9A* and 2As in my GCSES/iGCSEs and A*A*A at A-level.

Tutoring Experience

• Providing support during exam season for GCSE and A-level students
• Tutoring History of Art A-Level
• Tutoring Primary Maths and English to 5 students aged 5-11 (boys and girls)
• 11+: supporting prep for entrance exams to leading schools in London
• Primary School Entrance Exams: successfully supported a student's 8+ entry to Lambrook and Papplewick

Tutoring Approach

I love teaching and always bring enthusiasm and positivity to a session. I set clear, achievable objectives, and encourage young people to consider their strengths and areas for improvement so that they gain confidence and greater enjoyment from learning. I also like to keep parents updated on feedback and progress.

I can support tailored revision sessions ahead of exam deadlines, or provide longer-term support at any learning stage.
I will always adapt my teaching methods to the student's learning style and ensure that we work together effectively to attain the best possible results.

For online classes, I use Teams or Zoom.
