I am a Chemical Engineering masters Graduate (2021) from Heriot-Watt University and work in the financial services industry. I am a confident, friendly, reassuring tutor. I have experienced every level of the education system, which gives me another dimension for helping pupils to understand and get the best out of their learning.

My degree discipline requires top knowledge of maths and science, and these are my favourite subjects to teach.

Tutoring Experience

I have experience tutoring children of primary school age to the end of high school with ranging ability in Maths and physics.

My experience covers students with low concentration, anything from learning to spell, to GCSEs. If you are looking to achieve a target grade, I can help!

Tutoring Approach

I generally tutor 1:1 as this means that I can cover significant ground with the student. I am able to focus on their needs as an individual and address this as quickly as possible. I aim to assess each student at the start of tuition, I identify weak topics/areas and we mutually agree on a path of work. Generally the student will have their own resources, however I usually supplement this with more questions relating to the specific topics. We review each session, as this is important to gauge how the student is feeling.
