Ellie

I am a lecturer of Economics at a university in London and a graduate from UCL (University College London) with both undergraduate and masters degree in Comparative Business Economics. I have tutored for many years now and also did some tutoring during my school years. I am also winner of a number of Maths Olympiads, creative writing and my current students all achieved A-B's in their exams and got into the universities of their first choice. I am very pleased to have contributed towards their success and I am incredibly proud of each and every of them. I have experience in getting the best out of even most difficult students who have difficulty learning. As long as students show interest and are willing to work, I believe I can get the maximum results from them.

Tutoring Experience

I have tutored over 100 students over the last 5 years most of whom have been referring me to their friends and family ever since. I am very proud of how well my tutees have done and the great things they went on to achieve. I am very fortunate to have been a mentor to a number of them and am very pleased to have made however small of a positive change to their lives.

Tutoring Approach

I have a patient approach towards tutoring. I tend to go over previous lessons at the start of each lesson to make sure the tutee has acquired good understanding of the subject. I also tend to prepare tests and homework where the tutee can apply what he/she has learnt and see if they are comfortable and knowledgable enough about a specific subject matter. I do provide my students with a wide range of materials and reading as well as a fair amount of homework that i expect them to spread over the days. a few months before the exams, i tend to go over past exam papers one by one as past papers tend to be the best practice in preparation.
I'm a firm believer in getting the best out of all my students and believe that all my students are capable of achieving the highest grades. I always try to tailor tutoring according to each student's pace and ability and always ready to go extra mile to help them to understand the subject taught.
