Hello! I'm a first class history graduate from Cambridge University, currently working towards my PGCE with Qualified Teaching Status. I am a confident, approachable educator with experience of classroom teaching and one-to-one tutoring. My subject knowledge is excellent and I am available to teach history at all levels, English literature up to A level, advise on entrance exams and can also tutor in government and politics, having studied this during my degree.
I have 12 GCSEs A*- A (gaining 100% in my Science GCSE papers) and an AS level in Maths, so am available to tutor up to this level for these subjects also.
I also have an advanced DBS check.
Since I am currently working full-time as a history teacher at a secondary school, I have experience teaching exam students and KS3 students. I have taught in multiple schools, so have a good knowledge of topics across the curriculum and also have experience tutoring one-to-one and in small groups.
My teaching approach is open and patient and very much depends on the needs of the student. I can offer academically rigorous teaching, which challenges and pushes students, but equally can build the confidence of students by making subjects accessible. Overall, I love learning (and especially love history!) so aim to share my enthusiasm with my students and make our sessions engaging and exciting.
