I am 25 years old and have recently been awarded my Masters in Biomedical Science. I have been tutoring in Maths throughout my time as a university student and expanded to tutoring in Science subjects at the beginning of the pandemic.

Tutoring Experience

I have been working as a private tutor since 2019, primarily teaching Maths at KS3 and GCSE level.
During the pandemic I moved to tutoring online through programs such as Zoom and assisted students with maths and science lessons in addition to work assigned by their schools.
During the 2022 summer exam season I worked with GCSE students for maths and individual science subjects, assisting in the creation of revision materials and reviewing past exam papers in order to prepare for the exam period.
I have experience with the AQA GCSE and Edexcel IGCSE exam boards for the three sciences and maths.

Tutoring Approach

My teaching style is patient and encouraging, I understand that children have different ways of learning and so adapt to suit the situation. I am happy to teach specific topics, help with homework or work through exam papers. I feel that making a lesson enjoyable and being enthusiastic about the subject also helps the student to feel more confident in their own ability, especially since mathematics can sometimes be a daunting subject.
