Teaching is my passion and it was all I wanted to do as a child. I love to teach and see the achievements all child can make. I am a creative person who enjoys arts and crafts and more than willing to be a bit silly when the times calls for it. I also love music and run the choir at my school. Maths is also a passion of mine and I lead this subject across all year groups at my school. I enjoy keeping fit and like to go to the gym.
I have been teaching for 13 years now and have enjoyed all schools and year groups I have worked in. I have worked in schools in Wolverhampton, Staffordshire and Telford and my experience is mostly in KS2. Last year I was in year six and so have a good understanding of what is needed to do well on the SATs tests. This year, I am in year one and looking forward to widening my experience in KS1. I can help children with their early reading and maths and catching up with their phonics knowledge.
I like to plan engaging and exciting lessons that target exactly what the child needs. I like to use concrete resources to provide a creative way to learn new concepts before moving onto the written ideas. I believe learning should be fun and that is the atmosphere I like to create.
I charge £25 an hour and I offer 5 sessions for the price of 4 ,if booked at the same time, for £100.
I offer the first lesson for half price, as this is more of a 'get to know you' session.'
