I am an experienced Head of department for English at Tiffin Boys Grammar school and I am a senior examiner for the country's most popular exam board. I have years of tutoring experience and have an excellent track record of student successes. I have experience teaching A level Literature, Language, Creative Writing, and Lang/Lit, and with GCSE Language and Literature. I am used to working with students with a wide range of abilities and have secured strong outcomes with many students in the past. I have been responsible for intervention in several schools/colleges and I am well used to organised and delivering support to struggling students.

I have tutored many students, both in long and short term engagements, and have had many successes raising performance and boosting grades.

I am available for 1 hour tuition sessions which will be fully resourced. I am able to travel in and around the Clapham/Battersea area. I am available on weekends and in the evenings.

Tutoring Approach

I offer student-led, one to one style tutoring which focuses on developing the skills necessary to succeed in the subject. Tutoring is based around dialogue and guided activities in lesson and is supported with tasks to accomplish outside of class to maximise our time.
