Hi there! I'm Disha Removed, and I am deeply passionate about guiding students towards success through personalized tutoring experiences. Drawing from my ongoing bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience and Psychology at King's College London, coupled with my research analyst micro-degree specializing in accounting, markets, and investing, I bring a solid foundation in scientific principles to our sessions.

In my GCSEs I secured all 9s and in A-levels: Biology (A*), Chemistry (A) and Mathematics (A).

Tutoring Experience

My tutoring journey began in September of 2023, with a desire to make a positive impact on the lives of students, whether it's through teaching complex concepts, instilling confidence, or fostering a love for learning. I believe that effective tutoring goes beyond simply conveying information; it's about nurturing curiosity, critical thinking, and a sense of empowerment in each student.

Whether it's dissecting biological processes or solving mathematical equations, I'm dedicated to empowering you to excel in your studies and achieve your academic goals. Together, we'll navigate the challenges of A-level or GCSE Biology and Mathematics, paving the way for your success!

I have a years’ experience working in tutoring with children ranged from 9 to 18 years of age, through 11+, KS3, GCSE and A-levels. Each session of tutoring is highly personalised to the tutee’ s learning style and objectives. Whether it's dissecting biological processes or solving mathematical equations, I'm dedicated to empowering you to excel in your studies and achieve your academic goals.

Seeing my students' grades improve is merely the surface of the reward. The true fulfilment comes from observing their increasing confidence and the blossoming of an independent learning mindset.

Tutoring Approach

The two issues in schools are:

They delve deep into the intricacies of the exam specification instead of building a base of understanding before explaining more complex processes.

They only teach you the content, not how to take the exam.

Memorising mark schemes, making loads of notes and reading the textbook won’t help.

This is where I help. For maths and science, I find breaking down concepts into their constituent elements and building foundational knowledge is most important. This way, whatever they throw at you in the exam, you can handle it.

My tutoring approach is grounded in patience, adaptability, and a deep appreciation for the unique journey of each student. I firmly believe that learning should be engaging and accessible, which is why I employ tailored activities, relatable examples, and clear, visual explanations to demystify once-daunting subjects.

It is vital that students have enough exposure to exam-style questions. I create worksheets and practice tests for my students to improve their exam technique and their ability to apply knowledge. I then build upon this in our sessions walking them through any questions they struggle with. Creating a supportive and encouraging learning environment is paramount to me, where questions are encouraged, and curiosity is nurtured.

I emphasize critical thinking and problem-solving skills, providing students with the tools not only to excel in exams but also to thrive in future academic and personal pursuits.

At the heart of my tutoring philosophy is the commitment to empowering students to become independent learners. Through personalized sessions, practical study tips, and continuous feedback, I guide students towards their academic goals, ensuring that the journey is enjoyable and rewarding.

Let's embark on this educational adventure together, unlocking your potential and paving the way for success in biology, math, and beyond.

Remember, your first session is complimentary—let's discover the learning strategies that suit you best.
