Dev’s 11+ and 13+ students have passed the entrance exams to the following schools: City of London Boys, Bancroft’s, Forest, Chigwell, Brentwood, Woodford County High and New Hall.

Dev offers a pre assessment to entrance exam students to determine their strengths and weaknesses and provides feedback to parents. He is also able to offer a peer to peer review on past 11+ papers sat by his students so that parents are able to see how their child is performing relative to other students in the same age group. Over the years he has collected feedback from students on the questions asked at the interview stage which he uses to assist future students. Each homework written by Dev is bespoke and tailored to each of his students. They cover the content of the lesson whilst ensuring the student develops a wider understanding of the type of questions asked in the entrance exams. Please note that Dev's tutoring service is to ultimately ensure his students are better mathematicians and not designed just to pass exams. This is to ensure that when his students start secondary school they are able to continue with the school's pace of covering mathematics material. Most of Dev’s entrance exam students continue to stay with him for secondary school mathematics tutoring and therefore the majority of his students are long-term students.

KS3/GCSE/IGCSE Maths students:

Dev covers the topics in the exam board syllabus and sets questions for homework from the core Mathematics textbooks used by top independent schools and his bank of past paper questions. This helps to reinforce his students' understanding of the topics all whilst ensuring they are entering the exam room as ready as possible. Please note that Dev covers all exam boards for GCSE/IGCSE maths (OCR, Edexcel, AQA, CIE etc.).

Dev also introduces challenging problems from leading mathematics bodies to his students. This ensures they are able to apply their mathematical skills and start to develop strong problem-solving skills and a love for problem solving. This will help his students to deal with the problems that are mathematical and non mathematical that they encounter throughout their life.

For your peace of mind, Dev is Security Cleared and holds a DBS certificate.

Secondary Maths: Dev’s lessons involve going through all topics in the exam syllabus, learning the necessary theory and reinforcing the students' understanding through an abundance of questions. Homework will also be questions from various exercises and past papers which will aid their understanding. As the exam date approaches, he focuses on past papers to ensure his students are entering their exam as ready as one can be. He has always set the bar high and ensure his students extract the most out of their potential.

From his experience throughout school and university, Dev has noticed that the prospect of learning challenging subjects in general can be daunting and students often have low confidence levels as a result. Dev would like to share with you the techniques that he followed to achieve these high marks whilst making the learning experience thoroughly enjoyable. Lastly, Dev offers out of contact hours assistance should his students have any queries regarding the exercises set or otherwise. On a number of occasions he has provided his students a full worked solution to mathematics questions outside of his scheduled teaching hours.
