I am an enthusiastic secondary school teacher in a outstanding school in Leatherhead. I currently teach Maths up to GCSE level and have excellent knowledge and understanding of core content. My aim is to help young people develop their skills in key concepts that enables them to become confident mathematicians and turn weaknesses into strengths.
I am about to embark on my seventh year working in schools and fifth teaching Maths. I have worked as a teaching assistant in my early career before becoming a teacher in both Physical Education and Maths. I currently split my teaching timetable between PE and Maths and I am also a KS4 assistant Head of Year.
I will ensure that all young people will leave each session having made some progress in their learning. I will work closely with each person to ensure that they improve at their own pace which will enable them to maximise their potential. I will test students knowledge at the end of each session to show progressions and identify targets for next time. This way, pupils can begin to enjoy their learning and take such confidence back into the classroom.
