I am a qualified teacher, specialising in A-level mathematics and currently teaching Maths and Further Maths A-level part-time at Townsend School and St Michael's Catholic High School. I teach online by Zoom, but no longer face to face. I have a first class degree in Mathematics & Philosophy from the University of Oxford and a PhD in Economics from the University of London. I have taught A-level Mathematics part-time at Verulam School, St Albans and was a lecturer at West Herts College, Watford until redundancy, teaching A-level, Access and GCSE Mathematics, quantitative techniques etc and course tutor on University of Hertfordshire H.E. programmes. I have over 25 years' experience of tutoring, mainly GCSE and A-level Mathematics but also some degree work in mathematics, statistics and economics. I have marked GCSE and A-level Mathematics for the AQA, Edexcel and OCR exam boards.
Previously I taught A-level Mathematics at Verulam School in St Albans and A-level, Access and GCSE mathematics at West Herts College in Watford from 1996 until taking redundancy. I was also course tutor and teacher of mathematics, statistics and quantitative techniques on various H.E. programmes of the University of Hertfordshire based at the college.
I have a sympathetic yet challenging approach, helping weaker students at point of need but also engaging with the abler ones. Feedback and success rates tell me I am a good tutor
