My name is David and I am a fully qualified teacher of modern foreign languages (Spanish and French) with 20 years' experience, in the UK and abroad, in both the private and state sectors. I have been head of MFL at a successful school in the North West and have also taught MFL and EAL in state secondary schools and in Barcelona's best private school. I keep up to date with all the current exam boards' qualifications and, as far as I am aware, I am one of the only British examiners for the GCSE Polish speaking exams. I have also helped many students to prepare for entrance exams and for the 11 plus. I also regularly tutor University students preparing dissertations.

Tutoring Experience

I have a 2:1 in Spanish and a PGCE to teach MFL. I also have a CELTA qualification to teach English as a foreign language.
Since qualifying, I have taught in both state and private schools in the North West and London. Before returning to teach in Manchester, my most recent position was as a teacher of English in Barcelona's highest achieving private school.

I am highly experienced with excellent subject knowledge. I am fluent in both Spanish and French and recently achieved a good standard of a Catalan. I know exactly what it takes to learn a language and how to get the best results and I do so through engaging lessons and a range of resources.
