I have attained a BA in Music from LIPA, a PGCE in primary education and an MA Education from the University of Exeter, and a PhD in Education at University of Sheffield.

I have been teaching across Primary, Secondary and Higher Education for 20 years. I have 8 years experience as a primary school teacher.

Tutoring Approach

When tutoring to support children's learning in school, I use my knowledge of the new National Curriculum expectations to progress children to the next stage in their learning.

When teaching piano or music, I make use of the student's own interests to support them in meeting their aspirations, be that in relation to GCSE, A-level, or University study, or simply a hobby.
