Strong concentration on building pupils confidence through use of encouragement and praise. During the initial lessons my intention is to quickly discover gaps in the pupils understanding as well as gaining insight into the most appropriate teaching styles that are likely to be effective. With this understanding I build an appropriate programme of work in order to deal with the gaps and the weak areas of understanding.
