My name's Darren. I'm 41 and based in Honiton in East Devon. I'm a qualified EFL teacher and can offer you a very personalized tuition service to help you meet your goals.

In addition to General English, I have a lot of experience in teaching English for exams (IELTS, FCE and CAE) and I also provide Business English training online to companies in Germany, France, Spain and China, from Secretary/Administrator to Director level. Additionally, for German native speakers, I teach A0-A2 English partly in German, depending on the student's preference. I have experience of working with all ages from 9+, having previously taught young learners at summer schools. I have a full (enhanced) DBS check.

Tutoring Approach

Prior to teaching, I worked as a Training Manager in a HR department where I designed and delivered bespoke training solutions in the workplace. As a result, my learners benefit from a highly personalized tutoring service, tailored to their individual needs using a range of different materials. Every lesson has a clear learning objective and after each session you will be given a feedback sheet with vocabulary, error corrections and phonemic script to help you with any pronunciation difficulties.
