I study Psychology BSc at the University of Warwick. I am considering a career in either clinical psychology or primary teaching. I come from a deprived area and didn't get much help from my teachers or parents. (My psychology teacher thought I would get a C... well I proved her wrong!) All my work is off my own back and determination to get away from this area and to start fresh at the University of Warwick. I am extremely happy it has been paid off and my dream has come true!
Also, I do have a clear DBS check.
I have taught 2 Autistic children "civics" which involved exploring topic areas such as sex education and religious education. My empathy was developed through this because children with Autism tend to have a slower rate of learning than the average person. I worked with them from October 2015 to July 2016.
I have taught a class of about 45 students a module of History for 5 weeks along with 3 other Warwick ambassadors. Through this I learned how to cope under pressure, and work well as a team.
I will be showing plenty of my revision notes; I can photocopy them for free too. I will mark exam papers and questions I will do 'walking talking mocks' with the student. I will use a whiteboard for help too; sometimes.
I am charging £9 per hour and no more than that. Ever. All materials provided are included in the tuition fee
