Currently, I serve as a physics teacher and hold the position of second-in-command in the department at a highly academic grammar school. My teaching expertise spans over a decade, encompassing both science and mathematics. My residence is in Kidderminster, where I live with my partner and teenage son. Throughout my working life, I have worn multiple hats, transitioning from roles such as computer-aided designer to music producer and sound engineer.

Tutoring Experience

With more than a decade of experience, I've been teaching GCSE science and mathematics as well as A-level physics and mathematics. In addition to my teaching role, I've been tutoring for around two years, and all my students have not only met but exceeded their target grades. Removed

Tutoring Approach

Each student possesses unique educational requirements and knowledge gaps. I initiate the learning process by assessing their existing knowledge and pinpointing the specific areas or subjects they should focus on. My belief is that with dedicated practice and effort, students have the ability to not only meet but surpass their academic targets.

In my teaching approach, I utilize a range of pedagogical strategies to solidify students' understanding. A paramount tool for success in the realm of physics and mathematics, in my opinion, is 'deliberate practice.' This involves providing students with a set of precise tasks aimed at honing a particular skill. Subsequent tasks then progressively build upon this skill, encouraging students to operate just beyond their comfort zones. Immediate and detailed feedback is an integral part of this process. I have observed that employing this technique proves highly effective when mastering skills in physics and mathematics.
