Daniel

I offer tuition for secondary school English and for Philosophy from school to university level. I love teaching and have won prizes for teaching and for essay writing. My academic work has been published by Cambridge University Press and Routledge. I have given talks at universities around the world including Oxford, Yale, and University College, London. I also work as a freelance writer.

Tutoring Experience

I have tutored pupils in secondary school English and A-level Philosophy in Lincolnshire and Cambridgeshire and online via Zoom. My students come from independent schools and state schools, including local grammar schools. Most are preparing for exams in GCSE English. In addition, I have taught both philosophy and writing courses everywhere from universities in the United States to Stamford Arts Centre in the UK.

Tutoring Approach

Some people come to me for help with exams; others wish to grow their confidence in the subject. I tailor my approach to each individual student. The first session is used to listen and learn, make an assessment, and work out how I can best help you achieve your goals.
