I became a data analyst after completing my Masters degree in Geoscience in 2008 . After working in analysis for one year I into moved into the field of special educational needs. I worked with students with a range of learning difficulties and disabilities before training to be a secondary science teacher, qualifying in 2011. Since then I have thoroughly enjoyed teaching at both KS3 and KS4 level as I have had the opportunity to inspire my students with the passion that I have for Science.
I have been teaching in mainstream education for over 6 years having previously supported students with special educational needs, in both a college and residential setting.
I have taught science to a range of abilities and ages at KS3 and KS4 level.
Due to my success as a teacher I am now Head of Science. I co ordinate the delivery of the KS4 and KS3 curriculum to a very successful department in one of the biggest schools in Dudley.
I am a dedicated teacher who has built a reputation for delivering good results from students with typically poor attainment. Using interactive teaching and exam techniques I can ensure that my students are able to answer all questions from the syllabus successfully.
Recently I have had several successes, most notably tutoring one student from a B to A*, one from a C to an A and one from a D at foundation level to a C at higher level.
I aim to identify my students preferred method of learning and work closely with them in a relaxed yet focussed setting, thus allowing them to approach their general study and examinations with confidence.

He is punctual adaptable and my son loves his teaching style.
The proof will be in the pudding as the GCSEs are coming up soon but as he has only been called in recently then I couldn't lay any negative feedback t his door.
I really believe he will be the change we need in this final push towards the finishing line.
