I am a London based secondary school teacher and Head of Chemistry at my current school. Also, I am a GCSE and A-Level examiner. I like working with students who need support in understanding and securing the strong foundation required in science and consequently build upon their knowledge to achieve the highest grades and students who are pushing for the top grades. Hence, the need for stretch and challenge activities.
I tutor GCSE Chemistry, Biology, Physics and A-level Chemistry. I have a passion for teaching and enjoy working with a range of abilities and ages. I have very high expectations for myself as a teacher and my students.

Tutoring Experience

I am a qualified Teacher of Science; I hold a Degree in Chemistry and a Master of Science (MSc) in Pharmaceutical Analysis and Quality Control from King’s College London. I have tutored privately at the secondary and Advanced level for more than ten years, tutoring a wide age range (GCSE, Year one Chemistry (AS) and A-Level) with pupils from a variety of secondary schools with very positive feedback on my tuition.

Tutoring Approach

The sessions designed to meet the students need, for example, understanding of the current class topic, homework support, preparation for an end of unit test, mock exam preparation, exam preparation, and focus on areas of your choice.
My teaching style focuses on the core concepts of the subject, an application of this core knowledge to practical examples, and its subsequent association within exam questions. I use a range of resources, for instance, powerpoints, books, exam questions, and past paper questions, which is supported by digital resources to complement the tutoring. My teaching will be tailored to your individual needs, wants and expectations. I will focus on the setting and achievement of goals with a structured study plan. I will also supply relevant course handouts and reading material where possible. I take great pride in the excellent outcomes that can be achieved through individual tuition and always strive to make learning a rewarding and enjoyable experience.
