Cuneyt

I hold a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from the University of Oxford and a Data Science Master’s with a specialisation in Artificial Intelligence from Imperial College London. With over 13 years of experience within the UK and abroad, I currently work as a private tutor and educational consultant with extensive knowledge of the education industry. This includes my work within private schools and other institutions. After achieving excellent results for many students and families, I can confidently say that my previous clients received excellent value from my services.

In my free time, I relax by reading books on various topics ranging from science to philosophy. This is in addition to writing code for open-source and personal software projects concerning machine learning, task automation and data services. It goes without saying that my expertise and experiences are diverse.

I’ve worked in many industries, including finance, engineering, education and emerging technologies. Overall, most people would say that I am very approachable, trustworthy and professional. Having a talent for building strong relationships with a diverse range of individuals, I always aim to inspire and connect with those around me. This is an important characteristic for someone who is guiding the next generation to the future.

Tutoring Approach

■ Lessons and planning ■

◘ All of my lessons are planned and tailored to the student’s requirements. After every class, the strengths and weaknesses of the student is noted, and future lessons are adjusted accordingly.

◘ I make use of analogies and diagrams to explain abstract concepts clearly. My experience allows me to find multiple ways of explaining the same concept.

◘ Parents receive detailed feedback either bi-weekly or monthly. Parents can contact me anytime and I reply to their queries very quickly.

◘ I develop a good rapport with my students to make our lessons more engaging.

◘ I instil confidence in my students by helping them to understand and master topics they’ve been struggling with. This is in addition to my words of encouragement and stories from my own experiences.

◘ Diagrams are always used as much as possible as they are effective in understanding and solidifying abstract concepts.

◘ I train my students in memory techniques that I have personally adapted for my subjects, leaving students in awe. It works very well for abstract concepts as well.

■ Technology and resources ■

◘ I use the latest cloud services, computers and peripheral devices that aid in my lessons online. I suggest that my students have access to an iPad or graphics tablet that makes online classes more seamless and no different to face-to-face ones.

◘ My students are taught to use the best and latest software to help them with their studies. These include software for mind-mapping, time management, note-taking and cloud technologies. For computing, my students are exposed to tools and techniques used by professional software developers and data scientists.

◘ I extensively use my own tailor-made resources including presentations, worksheets and notes. I know exactly the topics and concepts most students struggle with, and I have resources for these.

◘ I regularly tailor resources for my students and teach them the tools needed to make their own.

◘ Online lessons can be done via Zoom, Skype or Google Hangouts.

■ Notes ■

◘ First introductory lesson is free and will consist of a small tailor-made assessment and a mini-lesson.

◘ Please get in touch with me for group class fees, as they are much less than the rates advertised on this site. My class sizes are less than 5 students, and I run classes regularly. Contact me for more information.

◘ For students abroad, please contact me about my availability as I will need to consider the time-zone differences.
