I am a 47 year father of two boys, an accomplished teacher and tutor, with nearly 20 years experience. I have a passion for Maths, Statistics and numbers as well as walking, running, cycling, flying gliders and F1
I am able to tutor from Primary all the way to University level and have tutored in the mathematical aspects of Biology, Psychology and Nautical Studies to name a few.
After obtaining my degree and working in 'real world' applications of Mathematics for a while, I returned to University and obtained my PGCE in Mathematics, I then progressed quickly over the course of ten years to become a Head of Mathematics and Statistics, seeking to further my development I moved abroad to advise upon school improvement and teaching methods, I returned to the UK to where I continue teaching Mathematics and Advanced Statistics.
My approach to tutoring and teaching is the same, fun and interesting! Maths can be a very dry and boring subject, it is vital to learn in such a way that when we do, we retain the knowledge. In addition it's also important to make it relevant and applicable. I am calm patient and have worked all across the spectrum of abilities and ages.
