A graduate from the University of Essex with a BSc (Hons) Marine and Freshwater Biology, and an MA (Hons) in Education from the University of Nottingham.
I'm passionate about the sciences I have studied and like to encourage pupil led activities, self-regulated learning skills and practical investigation where possible, all with the integration of technology to enhance a deeper understanding so as to gain the best possible outcomes for pupils.
I have a valid UK DBS, and am able to provide both online tuition or face to face tuition depending to suit the needs to the learner, in the Tewkesbury and Evesham area.

Tutoring Experience

I have taught all of the sciences from key stage 3 to A Levels at state schools in the UK and at notable private schools in both the Middle East and in Southeast Asia, and have been a science teacher, tutor, key stage coordinator, and head of faculty over the last 13 years.
In more recent roles, I am focusing on a more one to one role ensuring pupils receive outstanding teaching whilst developing and enhancing the science curriculum to better suit the needs of learners, specifically working with though with SEND needs.

Tutoring Approach

I am a friendly and approachable science tutor whom welcomes exploratory discussions and questions around the topics we cover, and I will always find the time to recap and ensure concepts are cemented in. I use a range of tools to achieve successful learning in tutoring, this might be digital devices or note pads and pens to animate ideas, as well as reference to relevant examination questions for each pupil.

I am available for both in person and online tuition.
