If your child could do with a great boost to their confidence, I offer one-to-one tuition that will do that! Previously over subscribed available one evening a week, I am now available more evenings and also for tutoring during the school day.

I tutor Year 4/5 students preparing for Colyton Grammar School Entrance examinations, Year 7 to 11 Mathematics KS3 and GCSE Mathematics students. I will have evening slots becoming available from June. £45 per hour, online, term-time only. People enquire all the time, so you'll need to message me quickly to secure the place before someone else takes it.
I teach online via Skype, Google Meet or Teams, UK term-time only. I am available to tutor students in other countries and time zones.

Tutoring Experience

I have taught Mathematics from ages eleven to eighteen for more than thirty years, and been Head of Mathematics at a secondary school for eight years. I am an Expert Mathematics Examination Assessor at GCSE and A Level, so I am able to explain just what is required to succeed. I have tutored online for fourteen years and use high levels of technology so that learning is more effective and convenient than face-to-face. I am a kind, gentle and encouraging person who draws out ideas from the student.
I am available Tuesdays and Thursdays in either the day or the evening. £45 per hour, and the first no obligation trial lesson for half that price. Groups of 2+ pay £25 each. Message me now to secure the trial lesson.

Tutoring Approach

I use low-stakes quizzes to identify areas that require improvement and address them. I have experience in teaching all areas of Mathematics from Primary up to GCSE and A level. What makes me stand out from other tutors is that my teaching and marking experience enables me to know what really makes a difference to secure a grade. Children enjoy the sessions and parents notice immediate improvements.
