Highly experienced and qualified tutor of German and English for Learners of Other Languages. I'm a German native speaker and spent 13 years living and working in the south west of France. Now I live in north east Scotland.
I love learning and have a passion for my subjects and love to transmit this to my students. I love literature and creative writing and learning languages obviously.

Tutoring Experience

I have about 16 years of teaching one-to-one classes ranging from 10 years to adult casual learners and university level: trouble shooting, grammar, text comprehension, vocabulary building, preparation for exams, conversation, travel, business language etc.
I have done long-term courses where I taught students over 3 or 4 years as well as short term trouble shooting or preparation lessons for exams or job interviews.

Tutoring Approach

I have a coaching approach to teaching. My lessons are completely tailored to the students needs and the way he or she learns best. The learning environment is supportive and informal and geared towards the building of confidence of the students.
I have not had a single student who has not improved their grades or attained their goals. I do not pretend that this does not involve some work and effort but I can show the student that it is not necessarily painful.
