Since embarking on my degree, my passion has always been Psychology. I have taught Psychology in the UK and abroad in Kenya and UAE. Since having my own children I have retired from teaching in the classroom and instead focus on individual tutoring. I am a patient, calm and kind teacher who likes to have fun with the syllabus but always bringing it back to preparing for the exams.
I qualified as a Psychology teacher in 2009. I taught A Level Psychology in a college in Cornwall for 4 years. Following that I taught in an international school in Kenya and then in an international school in UAE. I have experience of teaching WJEC, CIE, IB, AQA and Edexcel syllabuses. I teach GCSE, AS, A2 and IB levels. I am a current examiner for AS and IB examinations.
Pupil Centred approach to teaching. Highly structured and active lessons with clear objectives linked to the curriculum and exam. Lessons generally contain a starter to capture attention, recap of previous lesson, discussion around topic, activities to embed learning and practice of exam questions. I’m a very experienced and intuitive teacher and so can easily adapt my planning to the student needs.
