I am a fully qualified teacher with four years classroom experience and seven years of tutoring experience. I am now a full time private tutor. I am able to tutor primary, secondary and A-level maths. I have experience tutoring adults doing functional skills maths and access courses for University.

Tutoring Experience

I taught in secondary school for four years and taught GCSE at both foundation and higher level, new curriculum. I also taught in a middle school, so have KS2 experience working towards SATs. Since tutoring I have worked with students of all ages from Year 1 through to Year 13. I always tailor the tutoring to your needs, be that supporting current classroom work, or teaching the whole syllabus from beginning through to exams, for students who are being home schooled. I work online using Pencil Spaces - a dedicated tutoring platform, accessible through tablet or web browser.

Tutoring Approach

£15 tutoring
Students each have their own 'breakout' room for private one-to-one tutoring. I circulate the different breakout rooms (Maximum 5) throughout the hour, making sure every student gets individual help and attention. Students work at their own pace on materials provided by me, or may work on their school homework..

£30 tutoring
The same as £15 tutorials, but only one student is on the call.

In addition to the tutorials students have access to maths module materials at any time during the week. The work covers the national curriculum from Year 7 through to GCSE at the end of Year 11. Students can ask maths queries at any time (not just during their tutorial time), I mark and feedback every day during term time and if I am available at weekends and holidays I will also feedback.

Parents receive a short report every Friday during term time and are sent a password that gives them access to see the work students are completing. Finally I run a medal incentive scheme to help encourage students to maintain engagement.

After paying First Tutors for my details, I provide a link to my schedule where we can meet in advance of tutoring starting. Then the first tutor session is FREE.
