I am a fully qualified teacher with four years classroom experience and eight years of tutoring experience. I am now a full time private tutor. I am able to tutor primary, secondary and A-level maths. I have experience tutoring adults doing functional skills maths and access courses for University.
I taught in secondary school for four years and taught GCSE at both foundation and higher level. I also taught in a middle school, so have KS2 experience working towards SATs. Since tutoring I have worked with students of all ages from Year 1 through to Year 13. I always tailor the tutoring to your needs, be that supporting current classroom work, or teaching the whole syllabus from beginning through to exams, for students who are being home schooled. I work online using Pencil Spaces - a dedicated tutoring platform, accessible through tablet or web browser. I also have my own web site maths activity platform that students can use and work on at any time, ask questions and complete tasks and activities.
I provide on-line tuition in maths for students from Year 5 to Year 13.
Every student is given an individual programme of support tailored to help get the best possible results. Additional homework is encouraged. My approach is flexible, so if a student has a school assessment we can work on revision for this, dropping back to the programme of study as and when necessary.
For £30 - students attend an online lesson for 1 hour, usually on a weekly basis, I am flexible around school holidays. Students can ask about work they have been doing in school, or they can work on activities I provide. They can message me any time to get help. I encourage students to do homework as I think a little bit of maths often is better than one long session.
For £15 - I have a small number of students that share the lesson time. Students have their own private breakout room, so do not work together. I go between the two breakout rooms helping and setting work. These students also have access to my maths activity website.
For £10 - A weekly subscription to my maths activity website, paying the additional £20 or £5 on an ad hoc basis when choosing to have a lesson.
