My mother was trained in speech and drama and taught elocution so my sisters and I were brought up to speak correctly from an early age. I developed quite an ear for accents and bad English!
In my professional life I have a 20 year background of business and commerce and have worked in IT, Telecoms, Sales and Marketing and senior management. I have also set up and run my own companies for the last few years. I am thus able to advise on business skills as well as voice training and how to best use a polished speaking voice to improve productivity and credibility in the work place.
I have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate.

Tutoring Experience

My students come from all walks of life from school children who struggle with particular sounds, foreign students, business men with strong regional accents, public speakers for whom English is a second language and others who just need more confidence in the way they speak and are understood.

Tutoring Approach

My lessons are lighthearted and humorous with pace and serious intentions to achieve the goals we set at the outset. All my students enjoy their lessons and show great results of which they are most proud - often asking to continue with me after the initial set of 6 lessons because they take confidence from the progress them make and want to reach greater goals.
