I am thorough in covering the subject specifications, and I have a down-to-earth and fun tutoring style. I'll let you in on all the tips and tricks that I've learned over the years, and liven things up with images, videos and doodles, as well as discussion. Plus I'm a creative tutor - I have a postgrad in Art!

Are writing skills holding you back? I love to help students get their ideas on to paper. In fact, I used to find essay writing difficult in school myself. But I taught myself how to do it well enough to excel in a History degree at Oxford, and I even won an award for my dissertation! I know from experience that I can teach those skills to others.

I am an upbeat and supportive tutor who recognises the dual importance of confidence and understanding for a student's learning. I plan my tuition as a comprehensive course to address the exam syllabus systematically while building the key skills and I believe this is why I have such a good track record of affecting measurable improvement in grades. I tailor my tutorials to each student's aims and learning style. I normally make use of interactive oral, written, and visual learning techniques when explaining. Confidence and interest are key to good learning and I enjoy bringing creativity and cheerfulness to my teaching.
