This is how 2 referees rated Christine:
I'm a friendly, approachable, recently retired lecturer. However after retiring I missed working in education and three months later I obtained a part time position as a Support for Learning Assistant in an FE college. I have a Bsc degree in Social Science from the Open University so I understand only too well how much of a challenge balancing studying with a busy life can be.
My specialist areas are Applied Psychology and Sociology and I have completed a Professional Development Award in Facilitating mindfulness with young people. I recently gained a further Mindfulness qualification, this time in teaching the 'Mindfulness for Life' course. I am happy to share this valuable life skill with my tutees together with tutoring the required subjects
I have over 20 years experience in Scottish Further Education as a Lecturer in Social Science, teaching a wide range of students and levels from level four through to degree level. I am also experienced in supporting individual students.
Supportive, patient ,motivating and passionate. Will combine study skills with the subject being tutored.
