This is how 2 referees rated Christine:
I hold a BSc (Hons) in Psychology and am currently studying towards a PhD in Psychology. I am also a German native speaker and have been tutoring German for many years.
I grew up and completed my schooling in the South of Germany, which included obtaining an A at A-level Biology. Once I'd obtained my Abitur (A-level equivalent), I came to the UK as a Psychology student so I know what it's like when you're learning a new language! Alongside Psychology, I also studied some German and Biology at university (two years of an undergraduate biology degree). I love biology and so would be happy to teach this, too. Prior to embarking on my PhD, I worked as a research assistant for a couple of years, followed by commercial banking for almost a decade so would be happy to teach some basic maths including percentages, fractions, etc.
I have around 10 years of experience tutoring German and English as a foreign language. I have taught on a one-to-one basis and small groups, with children from as young as 3 years old, to primary and secondary school, to adults in their retirement. Of those tutees at school, I am proud to say that all of them enjoyed their lessons and jumped up in their grades. In July 2013, I taught Psychology undergraduates at a residential school offered by The Open University.
There is nothing more satisfying than seeing people improve their skills, develop and grow in confidence and knowing you've helped in this process.
I am happy to travel to tutees homes and charge 50p per mile.
