Currently available for year 11 and 13 students looking for a boost with their revision: specific topics, problem solving, exam technique, past paper sessions.
I am a full qualified ex-maths teacher with four years of experience teaching in a secondary school in Northamptonshire. I gained my PGCE in 2018 from the University of Leicester after gaining a First in maths and physics from the University of York in 2017. I love teaching so since leaving the profession to embark on a career in data science, I have continued tutoring students privately. I prefer to tutor in person and I am happy to travel around West Bridgford and the surrounding areas. I am available for sessions until the 22nd of June.
For four years I taught maths to students aged 11 to 18 including foundation and higher GCSE and both the mechanics and statistics components of A level maths (this was Edexcel but I am also familiar with other exam boards). I began tutoring 2 years ago and have had lots of success with a range of students including KS3 students, GSCE students aiming for a grade 4/5 through to those aiming for a grade 8/9, and A level students.
Currently I am available for short term tutoring (until 22nd June), ideal for year 11s and 13s looking for a few sessions to boost their final revision for exams. Depending on what is needed, I can go through specific topics or run more general past paper sessions focusing on accuracy, exam technique and problem solving.
I am friendly and approachable and I like to think that anyone would feel comfortable learning with me. Generally, I am very adaptable. Let me know what you need! :)
