I have over 15 years of teaching experience. My subject is Maths, and I have great experience of Maths throughout my life, finishing with a Master degree in Maths. I have plenty of experience working with children, as I worked in a tuition company for 3 years part time during my degree. I also have numerous years of experience in private tuition and can provide references.

Tutoring Experience

I am currently in my 15th year of teaching. I work in a private school, and have experience of teaching pupils aged 11-18. I have GCSE, A Level and IB experience and am very familiar with the syllabus and the latest changes to the syllabus. I have experience in teaching Further Maths and IB Higher Level.
I was the Key Stage 4 coordinator in my previous school, as well as over seeing Gifted and Talented and ICT in the department. I am the Head of Department in my current school.

Tutoring Approach

Pupils are rarely spoon fed answers. I often allow pupils to discover concepts through guided activities and allow them time to practise and absorb the concept. I ask many open ended questions and allow pupils to correct their mistakes through further questioning.
