I am an enthusiastic Mathematics teacher and Key Stage 3 Mathematics Department coordinator for an Ofsted rating Outstanding school. I grew up in West London, attended Latymer Upper School and have a Masters degree in Engineering. I have been based in Woking for the last 8 years and have a passion for inspiring my students to make excellent progress and achieve their full potential.
I have extensive experience teaching Maths for 7 years, which includes everything from year 5 - 13, students of all abilities and students with special needs. I have also been tutoring students for about 8 years.
I can see huge advantages of being able to work with students on a one to one basis and am able to tutor students of all abilities. My sessions are around an hour, but with the aim to ensure I leave my students feeling 100% confident in and around the topic they are studying.
Sessions are cheaper if at my house and I offer special rates during school holidays. I am generally happy to go a little over the hour free of charge, but can arrange 1.5 - 2 hour sessions for a little extra (especially near exams).
I am available throughout the summer holidays for students preparing for next year at school, including students who need an introductory boost to Year 12 or Year 13 Maths. I am able to help with A-level Pure Core Maths (and AS Mechanics if required). I also have experience marking AS Core papers for Edexcel Pearson.
During term time I can be flexible with evening hours during the week, although my preference would be weekends, on a weekly or fortnightly basis. I will travel around Woking or Chertsey and also often accommodate tutoring at my house in Horsell, Woking.
