I am a free-lance translator and modern languages tutor specialising in Spanish and English as a Foreign Language, as well as an experienced GCSE and A-Level examiner. An enthusiastic teacher, I enjoy passing on my knowledge of the language and love of the culture of the Spanish-speaking world.
Tutoring Experience
I have taught people of all ages and backgrounds in Mexico and in the United Kingdom. In Mexico I taught English to students ranging from security guards to bankers and politicians. In the UK I have taught in colleges of FE and HE, pharmaceutical companies and, in my last post, in an independent school.
Tutoring Approach
Teaching methodologies and trends have evolved considerably over the years. I tend to use a mix of practical, communicataive techniques with some grammar, taking into account the particular needs and learning styles of the individual. Above all, I believe language learning should be interesting and fun and as stress-free as possible.
