I am a passionate teacher of Maths and IT, frequently linking both! My family are now grown and redundancy has opened up new opportunities including my chance to create Apps to help with understanding maths. Private tuition allows me to open up the world of mathematics to those disaffected with school and increase confidence in their own abilities. I never believe it when I am told "'I'm no good at maths'' that is my challenge to prove them wrong.

Tutoring Experience

My teaching career started as a private tutor whilst I was studying, and progressed into Adult Education Colleges and teaching 1 to 1 in the secondary school special project Making Good Progress. I am experienced in catering for learners needs whatever age or culture.

Tutoring Approach

I am flexible, approachable and friendly using a variety of materials and subject matter to connect maths with the learners existing skills and individual needs. Where suitable I like to use IT.
