I am an experienced Primary School Teacher from Claydon, near Ipswich. I will be a friendly, caring and enthusiastic tutor. My aim will be to help your child catch up or excel, in English or Maths, by assessing their individual needs and applying my knowledge and endless resources to develop their knowledge, skills and self esteem. I have spent several years as a Year 6 teacher therefore helping young people succeed in SATs is a strength of mine. When working with children with extra needs I am patient and understanding. Please contact me for more details regarding my availability or to secure a place on my waiting list.
I have thirty years experience working as a Primary School Teacher, mostly with children aged seven to eleven. I have recently taken early retirement so that I can focus on providing and excellent tutoring service. I am confident to tutor English, Maths or both subjects in my sessions.
My teaching approach will be to assess the needs of the individual, then develop a tailored curriculum around their needs to 'bridge the gaps.' A variety of teaching and learning approaches will be applied to make learning as effective as possible to enable children to make good progress. Assessments will be built into the sessions to monitor the effectiveness of the tutoring sessions. Children learn best when they are enjoying the sessions and feel at ease so a friendly, supportive atmosphere, which celebrates success will be developed. If children are educated at home, slots are available during school hours.
