Personal Description:

I'm a highly experienced, enthusiastic and qualified Spanish teacher. For the past five years, I have been designing and delivering lessons for a range of learners, from beginners to advanced, specialising in Spanish for business, DELE, undoing fossilized mistakes in competent speakers, tuning correction, speech delivering and Hispanic authors. I've given private tuition to a huge variety of students – ages have ranged from 7 to 81, and backgrounds from actresses to racing drivers. I've taught doctoral students, homeschooled children, surgeons, businessmen, athletes, holidaymakers and journalists. I offer private lessons only to adult learners on weekdays from 10am to 5pm at my house or in public places nearby.

Tutoring Experience:

As a Spanish instructor, offering private tuition in Madrid and gaining consistently positive feedback.

As a Spanish online tutor, designing and delivering lessons to a range of students from across the world.

As a teacher offering Spanish lessons to groups of disadvantaged women in Boston, helping them to become more involved in their Hispanic community.

As a support language teacher for the Spanish Ministry of Education’s Itinerary Classrooms of Circuses Program, helping multilingual illiterate children to read and write in Spanish.

Also I have experience… As a researcher, detecting and codifying neologisms in Central American contemporary literature, working on a new database for the Royal Spanish Academy - the most important institution in the language.

As a translator, providing a private translation service to clients in fields ranging from real estate and law to commerce and academia.

Tutoring Approach:

My love for language and culture, along with my interest in human behaviour, help me to be a conscientious and empathetic instructor, with many strategies to engage and motivate students, to promote their critical thinking and to really get them using the language. I strive for excellence, knowing that every student is different, and I prefer to offer bespoke lessons according to their tastes and learning style. That's the way to get the best results.
