I am a very motivated, enthusiastic person who always strives for the best in everything that i do. I have a bright, bubbly character and i feel this helps me within many aspects of my life, especially within my teaching career. I enjoy spending outdoors taking part in different water sports especially sailing I also enjoy spending time with family and friends.
I am a qualified teacher and am currently working as a deputy head teacher in Southampton. I have taught for over 14 years across all the Primary year groups supporting children in phonics, reading, writing and maths. I coach staff on how best to support children to learn. After taking a break from tutoring to raise my two small children I am very excited to open my tutoring page again to support more learners.
I realise that children learn in many different ways, but for a child to learn effectively it has to be fun and engaging. My approach to teaching is one that excites the child and makes learning fun. I have taught children from a wide range of abilities and realise that their needs can be completely different. My lessons within the classroom are practical and very hands on which i feel benefits children no matter what their capabilities.
