I am a tutor in Classical Civilisation/Ancient History/Archaeology with ten years' experience both privately and in tutorial colleges and schools in Oxfordshire, including Oxford Tutorial College, Oxford, and Henry Box School, Witney. Additionally I have 15 years' experience of TEFL
I am also a published author and researcher.
I have a BA in Archaeology from the University of Nottingham and an MPhil in Greek Archaeology from the University of Birmingham. I have a relaxed and friendly approach to tutoring which I have always found to be the best way to help students achieve their goals in the subjects I teach.

In addition to the above subjects I also teach English for Academic Purposes and EFL. I have twelve years experience teaching IELTS preparation, Cambridge English exams, as well as general English.

I am located 10 miles west of Oxford, and about 8 miles south of Witney.

Tutoring Experience

I have been teaching Classical Civilisation/Ancient History for ten years, and English for Academic purposes/EFL for fifteen years. I taught for nine years in Greece, and have been teaching for six years in Oxfordshire. I am also a published writer, the author of seven books published on the subjects of ancient history, archaeology and supernatural folklore.

Tutoring Approach

I have a friendly and relaxed approach to tutoring although my experience in Tutorial Colleges and English language schools has honed my classroom management skills so I am also able to help motivate and give direction to students who need it.
