Information About Brendan - Thornton-cleveleys tutor - (2 reviews)
This is how 2 referees rated Brendan:
I was born in 1954 and have recently retired from a 30 year career in IT. I have a B.Sc and Ph.D in Chemistry and A-level Maths.
I began Maths GCSE tuition in the 2014/15 academic year and as of August 2017 I have since tutored students from all years from Year 6 through Year 11, with a total of eleven students obtaining GCSE pass grades or better, together with successfully tutoring two Year 6 students through KS2 tests and tutoring 2 adult students to pass Functional Skills Level 2 or equivalent and 2 adults to GCSE pass grades.
I have a caring and supportive nature and my approach to one-to-one tuition will be to encourage a relaxed atmosphere in which the student feels comfortable discussing any issues they may have with the course content. In the run-up to examinations I will also place an emphasis on how to maximise exam marks. I am happy to travel up to 10 miles to the student's home - longer distances by negotiation.
