Personal Description:

Bonjour,

Apprenons le français dans la joie et la bonne humeur !

I am a French tutor from Nantes, France. I have lived in the UK for over 15 years. I have been tutoring for years and offer French tutoring for any ages from early years to professionals. I provide my students with high-quality and customised language lessons as I adapt my lessons and teaching methods based on needs and ability.

Having faced the challenges of learning English during school years in France, I truly understand the difficulties of learning a new language and believe that the most efficient way of learning it, other than total immersion, is the one to one approach or small groups which allows positive tailored learning moments.

I have experience as a one to one tutor for adults and children both in English and French as well as using languages in the work place and as a trainer, coach and mentor. My aim is to enable you or your child to enjoy learning French and gain confidence in using it, in a fun and creative environment, at your/their own pace and according to your/their preferred style of learning.

My goal will be for you or your child to learn/improve and gain confidence in using French whenever you/they need to and to enable you or your child to enjoy learning French and gain confidence in using it, in a fun and creative environment, at your/their own pace and according to your/their preferred style of learning. During the sessions, I will use a variety of resources such as newspaper articles, radio, songs and documentaries and will provide you with materials. I will also be happy to tailor your lessons based on your interests whether it is sports, traveling, politics, geography, cooking, etc…

Please note that I also offer a BELingual French Club on Saturday afternoons. This is a group lesson for £10 per child and per hour. The method I use for early years, KS1 and KS2 is age appropriate. This is a fun club giving an introduction to a new language through games, songs, stories and other practical activities. I use a wide range of topics throughout the year.

Don't hesitate to get in touch should you have any questions or need clarification. For the 1 to 1 lessons, I will use the introductory session to learn about you, assess your level, what you would like to achieve and how long it might take.

I look forward to meeting you and teaching you French!

Tutoring Experience:

Bonjour,

I have experience as a one to one tutor for adults and children both in English and French as well as using languages in the work place and as a trainer, coach and mentor. My aim is to enable you to enjoy learning French and gain confidence in using it, at your own pace and according to your preferred style of learning. I have taught groups/classes up to 16 children and have done private tutoring on a 1 to 1 basis or 1 to 2 and the approach is really different. I have learnt that each individual is different and therefore each lesson I prepare is different to suit the student/adult. This is why I use the first introductory session to learn about you, assess your level, what you would like to achieve to determine how long it might take. I will then prepare a schedule / plan to ensure we meet that deadline whether it being for professional reasons or to take the GCSE exam for example. The aim is always for you to learn, improve and gain confidence in using French whenever you need it.

Many thanks.

Tutoring Approach:

Re-bonjour,

If I had to describe my approach to tutoring in one word, it would be flexible. As each child/person is different, I feel it is important to tailor the lessons to suit the individual. This is the reason why during the sessions, I will use a variety of resources such as newspaper articles, radio, songs and documentaries and will provide you with materials. I will also be happy to tailor your lessons based on your interests whether it is sports, traveling, politics, geography, cooking, etc… As explained above, this is why I use the first introductory session to learn about you, assess your level, what you would like to achieve to determine how long it might take. I will then prepare a schedule / plan to ensure we meet that deadline whether it being for professional reasons or to take the GCSE exam for example. The aim is always for you to learn, improve and gain confidence in using French whenever you need it.

Many thanks.
