I am an experienced Physics teacher (previously Head of Science and Head of Physics and Lead Practitioner) with 17 years experience teaching A-level and GCSE Physics. I teach at a Grammar school in Merseyside, and also work part-time for the Education Endowment Foundation, helping make educational research accessible and useful to teachers.

Tutoring Experience

18 Years teaching all sciences to GCSE level and Physics to A-level. Previously Head of Science and Head of Physics. Deliver CPD in Science teaching for National STEM Centre, LJMU and others.
Highly experienced in delivering online lessons.

Tutoring Approach

I am approachable and honest; my strengths lie in explaining difficult, abstract concepts in a way that is accessible to the pupil. I am well studied and experienced in utilising strategies that maximise pupil learning. I will look to collaborate with the tutees classroom teachers when possible, so that the tutoring sessions help consolidate and build on what is learnt in class. Expect some (purposeful, bitesized) homework.
