1st Class Honours Chemistry graduate from Queen Mary University of London. IOE PGCE and QTS. 100% verified by First Tutors.

I am an A-level Chemistry and GCSE Science specialist. I am experienced in AS and A2 Chemistry and GCSE Chemistry, Biology and Physics (Double and Triple award). All major exam boards covered AQA, Edexcel & OCR.

I am currently teaching the NEW GCSE 9-1 syllabus and have taught this course for 7 years.

Tutoring Experience

I am a fully qualified science teacher with 11 years of classroom teaching experience in London. Having completed my teacher training at the prestigious Institute of Education in London, I have developed superb teaching and learning techniques from which my students benefit greatly. I have experience of teaching KS3 Year 7, 8 & 9. GCSE Year 10 & 11. A-level Chemistry Year 12 & 13.

I have been successfully tutoring for 11 years. My previous students have come from a wide range of backgrounds for example independent schools (Chingford, City of London School for Boys, Highgate School, Forest School, Cranbrook School), grammar schools (Loughborough Grammar School, Ilford County) and state secondary schools.

Tutoring Approach

I am a friendly professional tutor who assess the needs of my students in order to provide a successful solution their problems. I have a clear and realistic approach to tackling problems that students may be facing and provide scaffolding to support them towards their goal.

I ensure that students understand the theory fully and then train them in applying their knowledge and solve problems. Furthermore I train students on how to tackle the structure of exam questions and how to prepare themselves for their examinations. I also work with students in order to create a personalised learning plan which is designed to support them with their studies.

*Home tuition (from my home) is ONLY available for A-Level Chemistry students. I have my own home office space to provide a productive working environment.
***Please note that the maximum distance I travel is 2 miles from my home subject to my availability.
Additional £5 travel charge if I travel to tutee home.
