I am a qualified secondary mathematics teacher, who is passionate about the subject and loves to share this enthusiasm to help others to achieve. Whilst I enjoy teaching high level maths and pushing individuals to reach their full potential, I also recognise that maths is not everyones' favourite subject, and I aim to make the subject as accessible as possible, adapting my teaching to your needs (if your aim is just to pass that exam and never do maths again, I will do my best to get you there!)
I have been teaching mathematics in the classroom for the past 11 years, and taken on additional tutoring for the past 8 years. I have also been an exam marker for both GCSEs and Primary SATs papers for 7 years, which means I really know what the examiners are looking for.
I like to give a free introductory session to each pupil to discuss and assess their needs, this way we can set achievable goals and I can adapt my teaching to the learning style and ability of the individual. It also allows the student (and parent) to meet myself and ask any questions in person before feeling committed to paying for my teaching. I will then have the information to go away and produce a personalised learning programme for each student.
