Hello! I'm Ben, а friendly maths and science tutor, specialising in physics. I'm a qualified teacher (Institute of Education) with a varied academic background: prior to teaching I graduated from Bristol with an MEng degree in Electronic & Electrical Engineering, obtained an MRes in Photonics at the University of Cambridge and worked in biomedical optics research at UCL. At school I obtained 11 GCSEs (8 grade A*) аnd 3 A's at A level (Mаthematics, Physics, English Literature).

Tutoring Experience

I have a PGCE in science education from the Institute of Education. I have taught and tutored in both primary and secondary schools in and around London and Madrid. As such I have the professional skills and pedagogical range necessary to teach science and maths to learners at all levels, in particular KS2, KS3, GCSE, AS аnd A-level. I am familiar with recent curriculum changes. Before qualifying as a teacher I also worked as a teaching assistant, tutoring students one-to-one in order to overcome particular difficulties both in and out of the classroom.

Tutoring Approach

I will work towards your goals, consulting with you to agree on the best approach for you or your child. When I tutor online I endeavour to use a range of interactive resources to keep things interesting and compensate for the lack of face to face stimulus.
